FUND HIGHLIGHTS

The McLean Fund was established in 2020 to honour the memory of Leslie and Donna (nee Williamson). The McLeans and Williamsons moved to New Liskeard in the early 20th century. Leslie's Dad, Joseph, established a farm and Donna's Dad, Edwin, worked in the mining camps as a cook. Les and Donna were both born in New Liskeard, met each other, married, and continued to raise their family in the area. Les will be remembered by many for his years working as a custodian at New Liskeard Public School. In 1975, they moved away but were frequent visitors to the area and always considered New Liskeard to be home. In 2014, Les and Donna finally came home to rest with their young son Peter at the New Liskeard Pioneer Cemetery.
