GRANT APPLICATIONS
Our grants provide funding to help with a variety of organizational needs. Registered charities, non-profit organizations, municipalities, first nations and other agencies are eligible to apply for these grants. We cannot accept grant applications from businesses or individuals.
Our support is specific to your needs.
These can range from program and project funding to material purchases — and more! Organizations that meet the eligibility criteria can apply for a grant up to $5,000, depending on the Fund.

Community Fund
The Community Fund is a general fund that provides funding for a variety of different needs including grants in the areas of social services, arts and culture, advancement of education, provision of medical services, physical fitness and amateur sports and other community services of a charitable nature, across Temiskaming (within our catchment area of Kirkland Lake to Latchford). There are two intake periods for grant applications: March 1-31 and September 1-30.
Englehart & Area Community Fund
The Englehart & Area Community Fund is a general fund that provides funding for projects and organizations falling within the geographical area of Central Temiskaming (including the area north of Armstrong Township and south of the north boundary of Chamberlain Township, together with neighbouring areas). There are two intake periods for grant applications: March 1-31 and September 1-30.
For Kids Sake Fund
The grants from the For Kids Sake Fund are directed to projects or organizations that provide programming to youth (18 years and younger) in an area of “community recreation” – sport, recreation, fitness, youth leadership, camping and outdoor education, playgroups, the arts and cultural activities. There are two intake periods for grant applications: March 1-31 and September 1-30.
Kirkland Lake & Area Fund
The Kirkland Lake & Area Fund is an endowed fund that grants to projects and organizations that benefit Kirkland Lake and the surrounding area. The fund was established to serve the charitable needs of communities within the geographic area of North Timiskaming. There is one intake period for grant applications: March 1-31. Kirkland Lake & Area organizations may apply to the Community Fund or For Kids Sake Fund for the September intake period.
One Foot Forward
The primary focus of the Gordon and Greyson Zubyck Memorial Fund (One Foot Forward) is to support various community sport organizations and groups with funding to enhance programs for young children. Programs should be following or working towards becoming compliant with the Canadian Sport for Life’s first 3 stages of athlete development supported by their National Sport Organization (NSO) and Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) guidelines. There is one intake period with a deadline of May 31st.
School Nutrition Fund/Fond d'alimentation saine pour les eleves
The School Nutrition Fund is open to all schools in the Timiskaming District to support their School Nutrition Programs. Applications for 2026 open May 1. The next deadline for submission is May 31st.
Le Fond d'alimentation saine pour les élèves est ouvert à toutes les écoles du district de Timiskaming pour soutenir leurs programmes d'alimentation saine pour les élèves. Le formulaire de demande est maintenant fermé. La prochaine date limite de soumission est le 31 mai.
Zack's Crib Homelessness Prevention Fund/fond de prevention de l'intinerance de zack's crib
The Zack's Crib Homelessness Prevention Fund is open to organizations supporting those experiencing homelessness or working to prevent homelessness in the District of Timiskaming. There is one intake period for grant applications: May 1-31.
