The Aurora Fund

Douglas Hobden passed away in 2024. This Fund was created in his memory to support scholarships to inspire students to follow in Douglas' career footsteps. This Fund awards two scholarships each year:

1. The Douglas Hobden Memorial Bursary: Awarded to a graduating student with financial need who is passionate about fish and wildlife, pursuing post-secondary education in aquaculture, fisheries and/or wildlife sciences or biology.

2. The Douglas Hobden Memorial Award in Aquaculture: Awarded to a student in the Fleming Collage Aquaculture (Co-op) program.
